Bank of America’s favorite pastime. Most often, baseball comes to mind. But in communities across the nation, roller skating has, you know, rolled into the hearts of generations. Hmm. But as we know, it’s probably not the easiest skill to pick up. I’ve tried. I can’t do it. Sometimes a little help is needed.
So to help us out our care, cotton joins us live this morning from Showtime Skate studio, where they host lessons on this four wheel fund. So good morning, key. Hey there. It’s boring. Brianna. Good morning. I am here at Showtime Skate studio, and skating is something that has such a rich culture.
But as you guys mentioned, it’s not a hobby that you could just pick up and be good at. So I called them the expert, Mr. Showtime himself eritate junior. How are you this morning? How you doing? Good to see you. Fantastic. Thank you so much for having me out.
No problem. No problem taking the time to teach me. I’m. I’m. I’m no pro like you, but right. But talk to me a little bit about how you got started. I got started about 10 years ago, 10. 10 or 12 years ago. OK uh, I started out skating.
Just rollerblade and then overtime I just, you know, the began to enjoy it. So yeah, I mean, you are officially a pro. I’ve seen your videos on Instagram. Talk to me a little bit about the lessons that you offer here at Showtime Skate studio. So here, my lessons are there on Sundays and
Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 and 7:30 to 9. Here I teach how to backward skate. I teach some footwork, some jumps, a little bit of routines, that sort of thing. So we’re going to give myself. Beginner, but I got a I got the basics that right. Are you gonna show me here today?
So we know we’re going to pivot. We work on a simple pivot. How to pivot is gonna go. You’re gonna take your right foot. OK, step over your left. Put your left foot down on the on, Yep on the pivot and turn alright. Yeah, yeah. And then take your
Left foot step over your right, right foot down and then we gonna pivot that way it back around. Yeah, yeah, no way. Yeah. OK, let’s go back. OK. Right here. Alright, alright right foot down time. What 2? You turn it that way, yeah. There you go. There you go.
So your classes are good for anybody of anything level, is that correct? Yeah. Beginners, intermediates, yes. Any. Any type of skill, skill style, skaters. Yes. That’s a very good.
