Join us for a night of summer skating, music, food, drinks and fun! We couldn’t be more excited to invite you to a classic RGG roller disco at Leeds’ newest live music venue.
Make a night of it, whether you are in need of a night with your friends, some dedicated ‘me time’ or a date night idea, its got to be a roller disco! Project House is a warehouse style space with high ceiling and direct access to a flat outdoor area. We will also be bringing along a pop-up shop for you to pick up any skate accessories or even some new light up wheels.
What to expect
Project house is a licensed club venue, as such entry will be a little different to some of our previous roller discos.
-
Doors will open for the first session at 18:50
-
Bag checks will take place on your way in
-
You can bring your own empty water bottle, no drinks can be brought in
-
Wrist bands will be placed on your wrist by a member of staff, these must remain on your wrist at all times during the event.
-
If you are lucky enough to look under 25, you will be asked for your ID on the way into the venue, as this event is strictly over 18.
As you enter Project House you’ll be met by our skate marshall team to get you checked in and place your wrist bands on. Having your tickets ready will help our team get you in as soon as possible. Hire skate collection is in the main room. Please make sure you are wearing socks with your hire skates. For folks with their own skates, we strongly recommend you walk, rather than roll into the main room of the building please, as there is limited space in the corridor and a trip hazard on the main door!
The main room will be split into two areas, the rink (on the left) and the bar (on the right). Skate hire will be on the right, in the bar area. There is protective gear to borrow too if you need it; just pop it back when you’re done.
Personal Belongings – your items are your responsibility at all times. We will have boxes that you are welcome to leave your shoes in while you’re skating, but these will not checked by our team. We recommend you minimise what you bring and keep valuables with you at all times.
You can keep yourself refreshed with drinks from the Project House bar. Your wristband allows you access in and out of the rink area throughout your session so you can nip out to grab a drink at any time. Remember – no food and drink on the rink! That includes chewing gum. We will be changing the direction of the rink throughout the evening – our marshall team will support you if needed. This isn’t the venue for speed skating (that includes suddenly weaving past people) – we are just having a chill disco.
If you have your own skates, you can also access the outdoor space and food truck area via the access ramp (weather permitting!) Hire skates are not permitted outside.
This roller club night will have a DJ playing a selection of RnB, funk, disco and pop hits through the decades. There will be disco lights but no strobe lighting. Toilets can be found in both the rink an bar areas. We strongly recommend skates are removed before using the toilet.
If you’ve booked the early session, you’re welcome to stay and grab some food and drink from Project House brilliant team and keep dancing. Late session folks are welcome to come early too. We are just checking wristbands to the designated rink area.
Rolling on the Dance Floor
Mel and Jen took a visit to Project House ๐ Mel is using Komplex Ghibli 88A wheels and the concrete floor felt fine. You can see it is unpolished though. If you’re unsure about wheels and you have a choice, we recommend softer wheels, 85A durometer and below. Those Luminous wheels will be perfect!
Are you excited to get skating at Project House yet? I know we are!
Book Tickets Here!
