Ross I I like the over in this one this is a deep lineup even without sikov and where it’s really impressive is on defense I mean this defense Corp arguably might be the best in the entire league like they’ve got Demitri orov is their highest paid defenseman and he’s
On the third pair and he’s and he’s paired with Tony D’Angelo with which love him or hate him that guy is a stud defenseman that can put up points so that’s one hell of a third pair he’s the equivalent of with Branny it’s like D’Angelo move pucks like he’s a puck
Moving defenseman but he’s got the stats to back it up true much more than Branny but you look at their top four like that’s been their top four for the last number of years and they’ve been so successful why would you change it and this is the team Ross where I feel like
They have nailed it when it comes to ying and yang defensive pairs like slaven and burns perfect shutdown guy perfect offensive guy Shay pesy same thing orov D’Angelo same thing like they’ve really done a good job of balancing out that uh top six there for the D’s who’s your Lookout player

You what would you be okay with and at what point are you like okay let’s there needs to be changes I will be happy with this team finishing in the top three in the division probably in in my mind if they’re going to do that it’s going to
Be in the third spot I’ll be okay with and my expectation is they’ll get a wild card spot and if this team makes the playoffs this year it’s playoffs are bust no excuses I mean there’s going to be some major changes and I think those major changes if this team makes the playoffs
Are going to come at the price of the GM and head coaching job if they don’t make the playoffs I think that was just a little slip up oh if they yeah that’s what I meant yes even if they make the playoffs I don’t know if they’re safe
Yeah fair but if they don’t I think that’s it uh my my reasonable expectation is that they’re still in it after November like is that too much to ask I mean they haven’t been for four years straight I just want them to they have such like there’s no easy game in the
NHL but compared to other teams they have a very reasonable schedule to start the year and that’s the thing Ross that’s why it emphasizes even more while they have to get off to a hot start because it’s they’ve got a nice uh set of home games to start
So math guy if they’re home if they got a lot of home games to start they’re going to have a lot of away games later on in the season and that’s going to be tougher to make things go we saw what happened to them when they had that road
Trip out west starting with Chicago that that derailed everything so those can come back to bite you in the end so you have to make sure while you’re playing well at home or while you’re at home you got to be playing well especially for the good people of the nation’s capital
Get them some W’s let’s go I would be ecstatic with playoffs I’m not even going to get into where they finish if they make playoffs I’m happy I I don’t care that’s the thing I don’t care yeah honestly Ross I feel like I I kind of would rather them just scrape in because
The who C who cares where they finish in the regular season if they make the playoffs and then they’ve got that hungry mentality they’ve got that Underdog mentality we saw how that worked for the Florida Panthers I think a similar kind of mindset and a similar way getting into the playoffs could be
