There are all sorts of sports and activities for people of all ages. And one day you might not immediately come to mind. Is roller skating. Over a world of wheels and superior people, young and old, are sharing smiles, laughs and conversations as they zip around the rink.
Yeah, we got to meet all sorts of awesome folks who welcome, welcome. They’re sitting here with open arms and showed us just how exactly it’s done. Holding old broken. Bones. That’s stuff. Sitting down is the best way I do sweating for. Putting the skates. How is this going to go? Look at that.
We’re good. There’s no way. I don’t like a grocery store car. No telling that these wheels are on stilts. Okay. Oh, this is fun. It’s a blast. I need to work on one. We all get back. On the horse really quick. It’s been years since all of us have done this,
And I can’t carry Hunter. One on skates. And that’s how they make. Let’s go, period. Your child can’t hear you. That’s called karma. I think it’s two children. I’m dealing with. Two children. Oh, that was quick. I started roller skating. Or 16 young in. Twin Cities, and I worked at a rail line
Down there for 28 years, part times of my own home. And the security of it are just a whole group of friends that, hey, be prepared for your saw. Getting used to it, getting used to it, Don’t know how to stop it. I’m just glad I haven’t heard anybody. You know,
I’m 49 around like took it out of me. Doing this enough. It’s you get the heart rate going like. They’re going to have a miserable time. In miserable, miserable. No, it’s a blast. That was so good. That’s the workout of the month right there. Who knew he’d be leaving with, like 15 friends?
Seriously, how many friends? Who knew that even happened? That was. Talented friends. Yeah. That was so much fun. The coolest part was that there’s a whole community of people that meet every Wednesday morning. I mean, there used to be I think they said at one point in time, like 50 or 60 people,
There was a solid 15 to 20 people that were there that morning that well, go again way better than us at skating. It was just so cool to meet all those people and just all the enthusiasm that they had for the sport. It was awesome. Yeah. Shout out to Debbie too.
So when we on a previous web story that we posted on Facebook, Debbie said, You guys are going to come out to a world of wheels. And we said, okay, great. Like we’ll meet you and your team there. And she says, All right.
And then Debbie rolls in with how many like ten, 15 people that that every Wednesday morning they bring their brownies and cookies and have coffee and just have an absolute ball of a time. And they go 16 laps around. They said as a mile
They said they go like a whole mile, have a little treat and then maybe even get out and do a Second mile. So I was so impressed. I don’t know if you got to see it in the video, but there was a dollar lady there and she was very talented.
She was doing some really cool, like almost like figure skating and sort of tricks. It was like roller skating Olympics out there watching. It was. So impressive. And that song that they were singing there, Oh my God, I love that. They were surprised. They surprised us.
They were like, You guys have to stay to watch our our day. And so we were like, obviously, course you’re. Going to. Shut up. Your face was what they said in that video. It’s now become a mainstay among us is. See. It’s like they said it was an Italian tradition
Or some with some of the Italian background would always play that song. And so everybody in the superior area learned that song Shut Up Your Face is the name of the song. I love it. I love. It. And some really, really good time. And I think we just learned to, you know,
I don’t think any of us can skate really well. No. And also, I can’t ice skate. Oh, really? Yeah. Yeah. I’m not a true Minnesotan. I can’t. I didn’t play hockey. I played basketball instead of hockey growing up. So if I if we get out on the ice skating rink, too,
It could be a brutal. Oh, sure. See, we lived on a lake, so we had the frozen lake every single year that we could skate on. And so I’m okay at hockey skating. Not not too great, but I can stop and move around and not break a leg, I hope. Hopefully.
Anyway, I think that’s the biggest fear I have now. Like when I get out there, I, when I was little fearless, not worried about breaking them, but now I you know, I’m worried about the cars. Yeah. Life. You got to be bad, but it would. Have gotten out. Well, yeah, Harry and A.J..
Would all carry. Our our frontal lobes have developed a little bit more. So we’re I, we’re good at thinking better. Oh, man. Weezer are now.
