But we’re gonna try to get as many shots as we can in here the electricity looks to be off now but the doors are open so hopefully we’ll be able to get some good shots This is where you would come in and pay it was like five six bucks a person to come in and clear down here where you see the light that’s around where we used to pick up our skates which I’ll show you in just a minute here [Applause] Look at this guys the carpet on the side on the inside of the kitty rink here [Applause] [Applause] okay so we’re in the DJ booth right now I remember coming up to this place and requesting things like motley crue kickstart my heart and b-52s let’s get a shot from in this booth for anybody who ever stood up here spinning those records This is where I met my ex-wife we actually met in line outside that door right there for the first time we came in and right up here there was lots of tables and we sat up here and and talked and kind of you know started our relationship So this place up here guys this has just so many memories of course because that’s where you used to sit after you go to the concession stand there then you go sit around up here and all the tables and sit around the pole here but we’re gonna move on down to where the
Video games and stuff were and when you’re used to rent your skates and then we’re gonna go out on the skate floor this is going to be sweet you I used to come up here from new Philly and being Chad come out I come up here
Get up and quick as I could after school on Fridays I made a Chad would get ready and get out here they opened the six I think six to ten something like that yep now some of this was pretty dark so I’ll have to show you
This way but back in here is where it used to be all the video games and the pool table and a lot of fights Yeah This is gross but this is what toilets look like they’ve been sitting here unused for 19 years Okay guys where we’re going right now is there’s the bathrooms right here and I’m gonna show you where we used to rent our skates back in a day when I used to come here I know it’s changed a few times so a lot of people will have a lot of
Different memories this is where I used to rent skates and you know it seems like it was bigger or a little different or something when I was here and it might have been but you know that was back when I was like 15 16 men you know
Early 90s late 80s so obviously this would have been hanging up here you And all the racks of skates would have been right in there this is to hold my other camera by the way Wow look at the floor in here it’s just it’s falling apart and just you know where all the water that comes into these places when they’re abandoned all the tiles just peel up look at this Now we are gonna go out to the coup de Gras we’re gonna go out to be at the skate floor and this is it right here behind me unfortunately all the wood has been pulled up according to one of the guys the construction guys it was actually pulled up a few years ago
Because it was just bubbling and warping and everything but but there are still some paintings of skates and things on the walls so I want to get a shot of that so let’s go on out here and take a look I’m just this is just great this is
One of the best explorations for me ever and I’ll just tell you before we stepping up there I just remember you know there were like up and down here they were there were benches and I remember like my parents my mom sitting here the very first time I came I was
Like 11 or 12 years old and I remember inching out onto the floor cuz I’d never roller skate it out on a place like this before and over the years as I got a little older and me and my friends were coming here they would play like Motley
Crue kickstart my heart and we and they do like a speed skate and we would just go fly-in out on that floor around and around and around then we’d come up out of here and and slam into the thing over there where the the little counter over
Here to stop and it was actually a guy that we called liver legs he was tall and super skinny and he would fly around here speed skating and if there was a pileup he’d just fly right over him I mean doing flips and back flips and twists and turns everything it was it
Was nuts liver legs You can still see the red carpet along the walls here just falling off and that’s not from the deconstruction that’s actually from the moisture that was in here The skater II Foxboro role arena and Fox Entertainment Center I didn’t even want to leave us having such a good time in there walking around thinking about all the memories in there and hope you guys enjoy this video I know there’s a lot of people who this place means a lot to and
