Happening there Davis Stadium where the skating Championship that is the Sprint speed skating national championship that is the second edition is ongoing here and we have different categories more than 10 categories featuring uh young and older players and right now we have experienced different finals in different categories going on and just
To talk about this I will be joined by some of the players who are young just to explain to us how is this event remember the last year’s event attracted more than uh 40 clubs from inside Kenya and outside the country and today’s or this year’s event has attracted 41 also
Clubs from different parts of the country thank you so much welcome on score line [Applause] um Foreign That was one of the young uh skaters who was just participated here in this event just to have an older player who is here who you will tell us your name welcome on score line is Senior speed skater I’m a professional speed skater nationally and internationally um I managed to score number one Channel for a very long time it was good attention to the African Championship we pocketed 40 medals which of those 21 were gold medals nine were silver medals and 11 were bronze medals so after all that Precision or anything so like support from the government and also the
Resources like Kasai we are using a car park which we are supposed to have a track for Speed skating this is not the right track this is just a car park maybe what do we expect to see in the future do we expect to see more of these
Events because uh the turnout is so uh good and we’ve seen these budding talents getting a platform to Showcase their their ability in future we are going to have a big group uh because like if you look at the last year’s event the turnout was not like
This but this year we have good numbers and we also seeing new status people started getting busier and they are competing so in future to be part of the right support after biller support your government because there is no Club that’s been supported by the government or anything

Start with three years so it was just the introduction and she did well she started and finished Harris that was our first lesson for today to finish our race why skating for her because we have volleyball we have swimming we have netball other sporting disciplines but
Why did you choose skating for her she showed interest because I’m also a skater I’m a senior skater and her dad is a coach a skating coach from Spring Skating Club yes to all the fans to all the parents who are watching this how can you advise them
They should follow and encourage their kids nurture their passions because she showed the passion she wanted the skates we got her the skates now we’re encouraging her to the competing world yes thank you so much and all the best to your daughter as she grows up and explores in this discipline thank you
