The zoo well polar bears that live in Alaska where it’s really cold build up a lot of fat and blubber but these guys they like to eat all kinds of things so they stay nice and cool they’re so amazing look at them all look you can see he has two paws and two
Really big Feet wa hey did you know that polar bear’s fur isn’t white mm-m no it’s clear yeah and their skin is black wao who would have thought they look white H I wonder what they’re all looking at I know they’re probably looking for their favorite food melons yeah these polar bears love food
Especially sweet treats and vegetables he’s snacking on some Lettuce you see their mouths mirr W see they have really powerful jaws and really big teeth and did you know that polar bears can smell really well yeah so they can smell for their food it can even smell through snow wao wa it’s a cantalope yeah a cantaloupe just like
You or I would eat but it looks like whoo he got it look he’s munching on a cantaloupe they’re so sweet and healthy Cannonball woo I was being a cantaloupe this Bear right here it’s over 10 ft tall if it stands on its back legs that’s taller than Me and these animals here yeah these three polar bears they were rescued by the San Diego Zoo so they can live and eat all the canalou and leafy greens that they want these are some amazing creatur Che wa look at where we are wao look it’s a polar bear hello wo this polar bear is so big yeah this is the biggest polar bear here kuk waa yeah kuk loves to Swim polar bears are really good swimmers yeah to get their food or to swim through the Arctic seas mhm and they can hold their breath for a really long time wa look he’s just floating in the water W hellooo so much yummy lettuce well I’ll

Is Mary Mary came to say hello come on Mary is amazing and is an Asian elephant she’s so big oh and these are my two friends Craig and Emily they’re professional Wildlife Care Specialists yeah that means they take care of Mary wa you see what they’re doing Look oh they are doing physical therapy with Mary that’s cuz Mary is a really old Asian outfit really old 57 wo W really good at stretching so much fun to stretch like an elephant because Mary’s an Asian elephant she doesn’t have any tusks no tusks and Mary is a really
Hairy and you can see not only is Mary hairy but her skin has some dust and dirt in it yeah that keeps Mary cool her wrinkly skin she can put some dirt in keeps it nice and cool in the sun she doesn’t like to be really hot and sweaty Mm hey do you notice what’s in Emily’s mouth yeah look it’s a little silver thing did you hear that let’s listen again it’s a whistle and the whistle tells Mary good job you’re doing so great and because you’re doing so great I’m going to give you a treat a tasty

Water in case they need to lay eggs but tortois is like Aldo yeah he only goes in the water if he needs to cool off or take a bath let’s give him a little more lettuce whoa here’s another bite wao yeah and do you see this shell this
Shell is part of Aldo’s body yeah it’s not a shell that Aldo can crawl out of and find a new one no that’d be so silly no this shell is part of him yeah it grows on his back and depending on what type of Galapagos tortoise you are you might
Have a different looking shell yeah sometimes they’re a little more open on the top so the tortoises can reach up to get really really high food and sometimes it’s a little lower because they eat food on the ground W hey and do you know what Aldo really likes shell rubs wo and
Scratches wo he’s really happy now do you see how Alo is standing up look he’s standing up straight and he’s in a trance woo so silly yeah just like that in Galapagos tortoises this is called the finch response yeah and that’s so es yeah the birds can come in here and clean the
Tortoise’s skin by straightening up in this trance gives the birds a lot of space to fly in and give little leg rubs clean their neck he’s so cute well tortoises are amazing but they’re endangered that means that they need to be protected thankfully the San Diego Zoo protects them and gives them lovely

Your elbow all of these things will protect you in case you fall down yeah woo and these kind of look like elbow pads but they’re bigger these are actually for your knees yep so then your knees are nice and protected wo woo last but not least helmet yeah
Mine’s the color blue that’s one of my two favorite colors and I have all sorts of colors on here blue pink and orange your other favorite color oh M you’re so silly well shall we gear up so then we can roll our skate yes I can’t wait yeah okay all right let’s

Losing your balance we want to get you both in the te position so you’re going to roll your skate behind put it in a tea and look you can stand up nice and tall and hold your balance so yes see and I noticed that

Up we’re going to take both hands put it on that knee and we’re going to look up because we’re going up we’re going to push straight up and look we’re going to go right back into that tea we just practiced wow now Ma you can get up on

Wo W hey who are you well hi there my name is Dane hi I’m ma yeah and I’m BL nice to meet you what do you do here I’m the head bicycle mechanic so you fix bikes I do wow you’re the person we need flippy has a
Flat tire oh know well if you follow me we’ll get you ready to roll really you can fix this I can all right let’s go come on wo oh this is going to be great w w cool all right I know I have everything
We will need to fix your flat tire y I’m so excited so the first thing we will do is put your bike into the bike stand W cool oh a bike stand wo this is what you had outside oh that’s right it must make it much easier when the bike is up high
Like that much much easier smart woo can I put the helmet right here you certainly can so the first thing we’re going to do is remove your front wheel W so you’re going to remove the front wheel and tire correct W so we will take this 15 mm box
Wrench and loosen the axle nuts on the wheel wow you know a lot about bikes W look at this it’s a bicycle not want to ride a bike like that I know now it’s a unicycle next we’re going to take a tire lever to remove the tire from the
Wheel so you’re removing the tire from the wheel right now you got it and just like that Co can I see the wheel wo check it out ma wow a bike wheel with no tire yeah look a big circle yeah cool this really cool and it’s actually kind of light Yeah okay and the next thing we’re going to do is remove that tube which is what created the flat tire wo so there’s a tube inside the tire oh can I check it out W so this has a hole in it and this is what was
Inside the tire that makes sense wo ooh it’s squishy yeah it is it’s like a balloon yeah yeah cool here you go oh so as we’re now done inspecting the tire to see if there’s anything stuck inside of this that created the flat we’re now safe to put a
New tube back inside okay so it’s just the tube that had the hole Yeah so you’re going to get a brand new tube wo yeah it looks flat yeah so that is this but brand new exactly so what we’re going to do is fill it up
With a little bit of air to make it easier to install W cool look at it it’s getting blown up [Applause] Yeah next we will need that their wheel back oh here you go one wheel one wheel thank you and so we’re going to set just one side of this wheel inside of the rim itself okay and this is where I like to create a dinner plate dinner plate I love dinner me too
Wa wow so what are you doing now I’m going to insert and reinstall a new inner tube to replace the compromised one wow and you can see once you have it set up like a dinner plate it’s easy enough to just add it back inside of the
The tire yeah fits in nice and n and now we’re going to reat the other side just like that and now we have a fully re uh installed Tire yeah woo so last but not least we’re going to put air pressure back into the tire this specific tire goes up to 40
PSI or lounds per square in can I hold the tire and wheel certainly Oma okay see if we can feel the air being pumped in there yeah oh yeah wa it is feeling like a normal bike tire now yeah it’s really filling up yeah W and so when doing this you always want
To read the side of your tire first before you start to apply air pressure okay and that way you won’t overinflate the tire oh so it doesn’t explode makes sense that’s right wow now this feels like a bike wheel that you could ride on
Yeah yeah and now it is so last but not least we are going to reinstall this back onto the bicycle so that you may continue your ride yay I’m so excited to ride my bicycle again W there it goes wao new yay wo you are such a good mechanic Dane
You did that so Fast wow and voila wao thank you so much wow now I can ride my bike again flippy can I ride bikes with you oh that’s a great idea but you don’t have a helmet or a bike I don’t have anything well the good news here at spoke bicycle CAF is we both rent
