12 is in the street today. Building community connections in Glendale. That is where great skate is back up and running. After five weeks of major renovations, 12, these journalists and king of roller skating. William Pit joins us live now with the close up,
All the upgrades looking good there. All you’re missing is the late warmers. William. I love it. Yeah. Don’t go king yet because I mean, look at some of these other people. I mean, this guy right here is doing stuff that I didn’t know you could do on wheels.
There you go. I mean, that that would be the king of roller skating right there. But we are gonna come over here and talk to Sonia because Sonia just a second ago, we were listening to some Taylor Swift as we were going around here.
You’ve got a Taylor Swift party coming up on Satur Saturday the 25th. Right. We sure do. Uh We’re gonna play all Taylor Swift music all night. It’s Taylor Swift songs that she sings produces or writes. So it’s not just her singing on Taylor Swift and that’s not
Like even the least of it. You’ve got a lot of events and parties coming up next week. Right. What do you guys have coming up? We have just stacked events next week for our Thanksgiving break. We’ve got a black Friday skate. We’ve got AAA
Bluey skate coming up. We’ve got, uh, Sonic the Hedgehog skate. Um, our regular family glow skates, our K pop skate. We’re doing an EMO skate soon. That’s, that’s the best part. I wanna talk about Emo skate because I mean, that’s for those of you who don’t know what emo was,
That was a thing back in the nineties. So you were telling me you gotta make this family friendly now. Oh, absolutely. It’s the emo stands for emotional music scene and uh the uh you know, all the, all the adult,
All the kids and teenagers that were into it have all grown up and they have kids now. So we do a family night. So we get really selective with the music. So it’s appropriate. Um We get a lot of uh radio edit stuff but super fun.
Um It encompasses emo pop punk, just lots of great stuff. And I think what I love about this is that you got the nostalgia factor in all of this. I mean, because you come back out here, I don’t know. We’ve got a picture of me from back in 1992. I believe it was
Right in front of this reader board right over here and man being back on this floor. It feels exactly like I am back here at age 10 in a birthday party, which you guys still do. Yeah, absolutely. We do birth birthday parties all week long at all of our public sessions.
The, the big birthday days are obviously Saturday and Sunday. Check out our website. It’s uh Glen Great skate Glendale dot com. It has all of our birthday party packages listed. We’re, we’re doing some really cool new party packages that are themed birthday parties. So we’ve got bluey parties, troll parties,
Uh where the characters come out to see the kids for their birthday. Very cool. You’ve got all that stuff and uh, as one other fun thing as we come back over here, whoa, look at that. I got to turn around. They’re open every single day of the year, the hours might change,
But every single day of the year, including Christmas Day, you guys can come out here and get a little skate on, you know, come, you know, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, every single day. That’s a great idea. And William for the record,
I have suggested to all our managers before that we should have a 12 news party there. But then I think I’m worried, you know, they’re probably worried about that. I like that idea. Paperwork that follows. All right. Skate away, William. Hey, you know what? You got to have wrist guards, you’re fine
And knee pads and helmets and all of it. All right. Thank you.
