SATURDAY, IT WAS CALLED IN BY WITNESSES. THEY REPORTED BEING ABLE TO SEE FLAMES COMING FROM THE ROOF. BROWNSDALE AND AUSTIN FIRE GOT TO THE SCENE FIRST AND SAW THAT THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE BUILDING WAS FULLY ENGULFED. DEXTER, ROSE CREEK AND ADAMS FIRE WERE THERE HELPING WITH
WATER. CREWS GOT THE FIRE OUT BY 4 SUNDAY MORNING. NO ONE WAS IN THE BUILDING AT THE TIME. TWO BROWNSDALE FIREFIGHTERS RECIEVED NON-LIFE THREATENING INJURIES– ONE RECEIVED MINOR SMOKE INHALATION AND THE OTHER WAS HURT IN A FALL. THE COST OF DAMAGES ARE NOT
KNOWN YET. THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE IS UNKNOWN AND REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION. THE RINK WAS BUILT IN 19-60 REOPENED JUST THIS PAST MARCH AFTER BEING SHUT DOWN BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC. BACK TO YOU.
