What’s going on stano clo happy Sunday welcome in team stano live my name is Eric stano and it’s a special kind of wintry Edition here as we’re going to talk about um what are the things you can do in Cincinnati in the winter time
Now as many of you who watch this may be Bengals fans um or at least know that I’m a huge Bengals fan uh Cincinnati has been kind of grieving and mourning the loss of their superhero quarterback Joe burrow to a season ending injury as he tore a ligament in his wrist that’s very
Very sad uh this was the year where we had Super Bowl expectations a lot of people were were picking the Bengals to win the Super Bowl and that’s not going to happen now and um you know I I wish them the best I hope they do great I’m
Looking for Player Development um Good Luck Jake Browning but the truth is we’re not winning the Super Bowl without Joe burrow so good news for everyone else uh if you are Bengals fan and for if you’re a football fan at large well maybe now you’ve got a little little bit
Of extra time on your hands I’m trying to look at the bright side of things which is um I won’t have to spend four hours and endless podcast additional podcast hours uh watching the Bengals the rest of November December January February uh I can I can breathe a little
Bit I can you know maybe catch the highlights later and now we can do some other things that Cincinnati Northern Kentucky has to offer and not worry about it so much maybe knock out a few honeydo list items um maybe take the kids to go ice skating we’re going to
Talk about all kinds of things tonight so as you guys know the drill if you’re watching be sure to let us know where you’re watching from say hello if you have favorite things that you love to do in the winter time in Cincinnati or Northern Kentucky drop them in the chat
Would love to hear what’s on your list um and that’s what we’re going to focus on we’re gonna we’re going to focus on the bright side tonight we’re going to focus on uh not not the terrible news that the Bengals had but what are some of the fun things that you can do
Throughout the winter because let’s be honest it can get a little gloomy it can get a little dark and none of us need to focus on the the bad news the the the sad news of Joe Joe burrow tear popping a tendon in his wrist now was he injured
Before or after the game it’s a mystery we don’t know instead we’re going to talk about some other things you can do you know uh I was able to go to the game uh not not the not the game in Baltimore but the game in Houston had a lot of fun came
Out with a loss but you know there was a lot of people there A lot of a lot of alcohol consume pre during and postgame and and maybe we could even cut back on our alcohol uh consumption Cincinnati and um now what we can do instead is
Maybe consume some pies because it is pie season and this is what we were doing just an hour or so ago uh this afternoon team stano had had a pie event for all of our amazing clients to come in and we partnered with this local Baker georgies which guys we tried a lot
Of different pies Carrie and I shout out to the amazing uh Carrie Reich wine for getting this event all set up and reaching out to our clients and um and getting the pies here and we tried several different pies around town um a few different local shops we even tried
The CCO pie because a lot of reers go the Costco route because you get like a gigantic pie for $5 and they’re pretty good but we came across this Baker in Newport Kentucky georgies phenomenal like like we tested these pies and they were like out of this world good so um
This is a picture of a pumpkin pie it’s so so good the crust was phenomenal I was like this is I I took it home I was like this is the best pumpkin pie I’ve ever had I’m not a huge pumpkin pie I actually like apple pie way better so we
Had our our clients had a choice of apple or pumpkin pie both were amazing so um yeah a few people came came in some of our clients came in we got to see them brought their kids in got a pie so thank you all of you who came out and
Uh were able to make it to the event if you are in you know if you ever are able to be part of the St clo where you get to uh use choose us as your realtor of choice to buy or sell a home then hey
You get to do you get some extra perks like this so in the last year we’ve done a a um we went to a a indoor golf um simulator last fall in February we went to the aquarium and we had all our clients out to that event uh in in
February in the spring am I missing something trying to remember what we did in the spring oh after the aquarium I can’t remember but we went to a we went to a Red’s game this summer in June and now we gave away these amazing P pies in the fall so hey don’t don’t
Drink don’t drink too much but maybe eat a little pie because it is Thanksgiving Happy Thanksgiving week to all of you and um always nice to enjoy some pies so that was fun okay so let’s talk about a little bit about winter in Cincinnati let’s talk about um let’s
Talk about the climate climate a little bit first because a lot of people I know watching this channel who are moving to the area are always very curious about winter in Cincinnati what is the weather like uh how much snow do you get and um
Am I gonna die like the the questions I get a lot are you know are there how many tornadoes do you get and how much snow is there going to be so let’s let’s jump into that um let’s jump into just what is a kind of a typical year look
Like in Cincinnati um usually winter starts I’ll just go ahead and read this winter starts in in December it ends in March it gets chilly but they we have fairly mild Winters and I would I would agree with that um depends on what you call chil but we’re kind of in the
Middle of the country it’s not too cold it’s not too warm um sometimes we do experience cold snaps Winters are usually light on precipitation with an average of 15 it’s more like 15 to 25 inches of snow a year we’ll get into that a little bit more um but that’s
Really about half of the United States average so winter temperatures range in the lows from 20 degrees Fahrenheit to 43 degrees Fahrenheit so that’s about right usually we’re in the 30s high of the 40s low 40s something like that maybe occasionally we’ll get mid to high 40s or 50s in the winter um
And there’s a couple couple nights per year where the nighttime temperature reaches 0 degrees Fahrenheit or below and so that’s where you really got to watch out for any pipes that could freeze um and just really be extra careful obviously it’s much much more dangerous to have cold temperatures than
It is hot temperatures um and so a few times a year it’ll get really really really cold um and in terms of snowfall a year and this is comparing to some of the other Ohio cities and what time of year year so all these other cities are north of
Cincinnati Cleveland akan uh up closer obviously to Lake Lake Erie right Columbus and Dayton and so the the first average snowfall hits usually mid December so we don’t usually see too much in November at all whereas in Cleveland you’re getting that first snowfall on average uh November 24th
Where you’re getting one inch or more November 10th and then what is the average snowfall per year so you would expect as you head further south the average seasonal snowfall would drop off Columbus averages just under 30 inches of snow year with Cincinnati Dayton typically picking up between 20 to 30
Inches uh an average year so an average snowfall year is 23 inches I always tell people what that looks like is probably um you know four to four to six times you’re getting like one to three inches of snow something like that a year and and in those times the streets
Are usually cleared by the next morning unless there was an ice that came down in really cold temperatures then that’s when it’s hard to break up the the ice from the Sal salt but usually like four to six maybe up to eight times you’re getting one to three inches and then
Maybe like two to three times you might get six inches or more of like a heavier snowfall and so and those are really fun if you can get those on Christmas they’re extra fun um but it’s you know compared to Cleveland you know we’re about a third of the amount of snowfall
Because we’re not getting that big lake effect from the Great Lakes um you know unless it’s a major snowstorm kind of going throughout the Midwest we we really don’t see a lot of heavy snowfall in Cincinnati so that’s what it looks like from a weather standpoint now let’s
Get into some fun things so I want to show you guys a couple things of what to do in Cincinnati Northern Kentucky in the colder months when you know last few weeks we had daylight saving time and you know by the time it was like six o’clock it’s dark outside and everyone’s
Like tired and wants to go to bed and so what are some of the things you can do well I want to show you guys a few websites to check out um I’ve shown this website before but visit ciny is a really great website to go to and if you
Go through their categories you know they’ve got things to do by by attraction by arts and culture Amusement family fun um and they have it by season so you can go through each season spring summer fall and winter by regions by Gaming so this is a great site and then
In each one of these Seasons it’ll show you all the events that are happening up to date things to do that’s going on in the region um so even something for Thanksgiving if I click into this it’s like what are what are happening from Thanksgiving events well there’s a
Thanksgiving Day race there’s a winter festival there’s light up the square so you can go through and look at all these different things um on the calendar and you can pick events by calendar which is great so if you know obviously we’re kind of through this weekend here on
November 29th but um picking up on November 23rd and and there’s details on all these things which is nice um winter in Cincinnati so warm up with festive things to do this winter in the ciny region um get in the holiday spirit with sparkling holiday light displays now there are a
Lot of light displays to look at which is a lot of fun so you can check out a different one uh a few different ones there is some skiing and tubing at Perfect North Slopes I’ll get into that tonight there’s a lot of great museums
To go to music venues breweries a lot of restaurants so there’s a lot to do in the winter you don’t just have to stay in your home snuggled up with a blanket and a fire although I do recommend that but um we’re going to go through a list
Here and again as I mentioned uh before I’d love to hear in your chat what are your favorite things to do in the winter but we’re going to go through a list I found this website wander Cincinnati that gives you um 35 different fun things to do in the winter and we won’t
Dig into the details of every single one but I want to hit some of the highlights some of my favorite things to do in the winter in Cincinnati and again feel straight feel free to chime in uh what your favorite are as well all right excuse me got I get some
Of that tea in so now this site’s a few years old but I thought going through and looking at this I thought this was a really good list and then you can kind of couple this list with the visit Cincy website in terms of the local events that are happening that
Weekend so we’ll start out it’s no secret it says that winter time in Cincinnati can be a bit gloomy that’s true it’s cold outside the sunet early in the day and sometimes it feels like there’s nothing to do but watch some Netflix in a blanket to be fair there’s
Nothing wrong with wanting to stay inside a LA Lounge around but if you’re want to do more in the queen sending the winter um or if you think there’s nothing more you’d be mistaken there are surprising there are a surprising amount of things to do places to visit and
Experiences to have during the S during the city during the winter despite the cold weather so let’s look at them 35 things to do okay number one attendance Cincinnati Cyclone game so if you didn’t know it beyond the Bengals the Reds FC Cincinnati which have all had good
Seasons up until the Joe burough injury um we have a we have a we have a hockey team in town the Cincinnati Cyclones they often have you know like fun events like um theme nights where they have superhero night or dollar beer night which is probably why this guy’s like a
Miller High Life for for a buck a wiener dog racing night blanket giveaways and much more tickets are super affordable $18 a person or so 20 on game day uh there’s there’s a link to the website kids eat free Mata so if you want to go see a hockey game that’s certainly one
Thing you can do on the list moving on um trivia nights not going to go too deep into that into that but you can find out this um this company last call trivia you can check them out do trivia nights always a good time have fun have
A few few drinks uh get some food and do some trivia okay light shows so this is a big one I want to spend a little time on um and this says that you need to check out the Festival of Lights at the Cincinnati Zoo I would say absolutely
This is probably the best light show in town although there are some some other really good ones Coney Island has a really good one and also the Creation Museum which I don’t know if it’s on this list but I’ll definitely show that in Northern Kentucky so if you uh and
Also Kings Island so there there’s a lot of light shows around town it’s fun just to drive around and and and go to these different shows um the zoo recently won the award for the best zoo lights in the country it’s no surprise that anyone has actually tended the event it it’s
Fantastic and so growing up this was always a favorite um you know it’s great for date nights uh so if you’re if you’re trying to go on a date in the winter time this is a fantastic place to go it’s always fun because you got all the beautiful lights but also you have
Like the surprising things that animals do in the wintertime and you get to see the animals too um but you know you can click into here and see the Festival of Lights there are over 4 million LED lights uh they you can try to find the different
Fiona fairies that are around um and tickets are again very reasonable 20 to probably gonna be somewhere between 20 25 bucks something like that you can click in here and get all the um ticket information but get a hot chocolate um have some s’mores and go visit the light
Show um it’s yeah it’s it’s always great it’s always great um here’s just a little bit of a look at it and there are some advertisers I guess that’s not the best let me see if I can get back to their Instagram Channel wonder if they
Have a little bit more here but the Festival of Lights in Cincinnati always great yep here’s a little bit of it there’s always holiday music playing um it’s it really is remarkable so highly this is one of all the winter things you do I would say this is
Definitely one of my favorites um definitely definitely put this on your list of things to do in Cincinnati in the winter which check out the Cincinnati Festival of Lights All Right Moving on there is a participate in an ugly sweater Bar Crawl so for 15 bucks a
Person go down to Goodwill get yourself an ugly sweater and if you want to go around town maybe you don’t want to drink at the Bengals games anymore but maybe you want to drink at a bar crawl you can do that 15 bucks put on a
Sweater and all the details here can be found on their website and you can go around have some fun with some ugly sweaters and uh drink some beer now um going ice skating at Fountain Square this is another one on my list that’s like this is maybe a must do in the
Wintertime Fountain Square is right in the heart of downtown Cincinnati there’s always a giant Christmas tree that they put up down there um it’s it’s one of the more affordable ice skating uh and all I think it’s like either six or 10 bucks this says six bucks another fun
Activity you can do is go ice skating on Fountain squares ice rink uh they set it up every year in November all the way through February it’s great again for a date uh or for bring the kids down or if people are coming in for the holidays
It’s fun to go downtown just make sure you don’t hurt yourself obviously but six bucks a person I think you know if I click on that link Now give me one second again this the blog’s from a few years ago so some of the links are outdated but um rink information
So open skate is $10 and includes admission and skate rental so you’re getting the skates and the admission for 10 bucks uh children under the age of four are free with a paid adult admission and must be accompanied on the ice at all times um bumper car Punch
Cards are available for 10 bucks and valid for five rides each so they have bumper cars that’s cool these these cards are sold on site and valid all season um so yeah bumper cars and skating at Fountain Square highly recommend fun thing to do in the winter
Time go down and go ice skating at Fountain Square love it um okay another light show Christmas Night of Lights at Cony Island so this is usually a cost per car ride and this is a um let me get this updated here this is if you don’t
Want to go walk around but you still like light shows then this one might be for you so what’s fun about this one I don’t know if you guys have ever done this before is you stay in your car the entire time and the lights you drive
Through the light show uh and then you sync up your radio with the music and the the lights are synced up with the music and so it’s a lot of fun it’s kids love it if you get kind of stressed out like and can have strokes easily then I
Would not recommend this but otherwise it’s a lot of fun so it’s open nightly From Dusk until 10 p.m. through December 30 first um here’s the pricing an eight person car load ticket is 30 bucks you can get a bus apparently I did not know but if you have a nine to
15 person bus load ticket it’s 50 bucks so what is that 15 people $3 a person um that’s great so they give you some ticks and uh tips and tricks not ticks and trips tips and tricks um but it’s fun this is a lot of fun too so if you don’t
Want to get out and walk around the zoo or if you want to do both honestly it’s so affordable go down and do this light show uh it is a lot of fun uh it’s so this is on the east side of town down in Riverbend Coney Island it’s just off of
Just off of 275 as you cross from Kentucky into into Ohio it’s right down on the River where 275 crosses the Ohio River um it’s a lot of fun definitely recommend that one so I would say put that one on your list okay moving on do an escape room a lot of Escape
Rooms around town uh there’s one in the banks there’s one up in Hyde Park um there’s a few others around town as well so that can be fun just to get out of the house um you know do something challenging to your brain it’s a good
Group event good for the kids um so that’s always there I think that’s a great one for the wintertime because again you’re not outside you’re indoors it’s warmer but it’s something fun to kind of break up the winter so Escape rooms I would you can put that on the
List again as well all right this one again this is would be in my top 10 which is explore the Crone Conservatory all right excuse me so one of the things that people Miss during winter is seeing fresh green foliage fortunately there is an incredible place where you can get a
Healthy dose of green at the Crone Conservatory it’s located in Mount Adams it’s just a few miles from me right right here the conservatory was built in 1933 in Eden Park and it’s home to 3500 different plant species admission is only 10 bucks for adults $7 for youth the conservatory rotates through
Different exhibit exhibits on a seasonal basis so be sure to check out their site so let’s go check that out and I will say guys um oops let get back in here Golden Days of Ule at the Crone Conservatory that sounds kind of cool so this holiday season they’ll be forward
With a warm glow as illuminated stars shine over colorful poinsettas lush tropical foilage and holiday trees uh threading through the horiculture exhibit are the traditional Garden Railways and miniature Cincinnati landmarks made of locally sourced plant material by applied imagination trying to get some photos here um but one thing that’s great about
The conservatory because all the plants are in there and they keep it warm and humid is when you’re when you’ve gone through when you’re in that winter months and you’re into January and February and the air is really dry and cold and your skin is dried out
And cracked I love going to the conservatory because you walk in and you just kind of get nailed in the face with humidity and so if you can’t make a trip to Florida or Cancun or something like that which I also would put on my winner
List if you can’t do that which I understand it’s it’s kind of hard to to leave and get downtown just driving over to Eden Park and getting into the conservatory and experiencing the humidity and kind of the holiday show um is is a great great opportunity definitely put this on your list for
Something fun to do and the winners and they always they have a um they generally have something really great for kids too where they have some kind of craft set up so you can spend a couple hours there um get a cup of coffee on a Saturday morning go enjoy
The Chrome Conservatory it is it’s definitely a win um let me see if I can get on their Instagram and see what kind of pictures they have here if they’ve got something popping up here but here’s a look at some of it um what it looks like
Inside spent some time walking around um it it just it’s it’s really refreshing let me try to get this a little bigger for you guys it’s a beautiful place to be so it’s just on the east side of downtown see if they have any of their
Holiday stuff man who they got a great photographer who’s doing their Instagram page they always have this butterfly exhibit too which is a lot of fun butterflies will land on you every year um so there’s like a little waterfall in there highly highly recommend this is this is
A jewel of the Cincinnati Park scene for sure so make sure you get out and and check that out especially in the winter you can do this all year long but uh it’s a great great great winter activity to get again just some green some humidity when you’re in those colder
Months here where it’s gray and you don’t get the green um it’s a great place to go okay that was number eight number nine walk around jungle gyms International Market so um similar but a little bit different it might sound it says it might sound boring uh walking around a supermarket
But that’s only if you’ve never been to juggle gyms um it’s a massive International Market that boasts over 200,000 square feet of shopping space and over 180,000 products to choose from uh the reason people love walking around jungle gyms is because it’s funky and it’s true I was part of a golf outing
For a few years A Young Life Golf Outing where Jungle Jim would show up and he’s a weird dude he’s a very cool weird funky dude um and his store reflects that so they have incredible selection of craft beer and wine a variety of interesting displays they’ve got um interesting
They’ve got food and drinks festivals liquor tastings um it’s a lot of fun so there’s one on the west side of town and there’s also one on the east side of town in in Eastgate um see if I can do directions here real quick there’s the Fairfield location which is right off of
Um Highway 4 Fairfield Avenue and then the other one let’s see if there’s a flag here the Eastgate location right off of 32 so on 275 on the east side of town so you got your pick you’re either on the east side of town or up here in Fairfield
Um let me see if I can show you guys what this looks like so yeah I mean that’s like this is not your normal Supermarket right jungle gyms is pretty great um International Market you also can find some like pretty amazing things here so it’s just it’s a fun place to
Explore um it’s bright it’s colorful if you’ve never done it um again winter is a great time to do it and um some great beer selection to you can just go there to the bar and have a good time there um and then maybe pick out a great cheese um some interesting
Spices yeah fun place to go okay yep that’s on the list go go walk around jungle gym so that’s a fun thing to do in the winter uh okay UC so uh winter also means basketball attend a UC basketball or Xavier basketball game lot of fun um the teams are usually
Pretty good and are usually in the tournament um often times they’ll make you know the sweet 16 or even the Elite 8 so University of Cincinnati and Xavier University great basketball schools so that’s also a fun thing to do is go go go to one of the games um you know it’s
Indoors and it’s not freezing cold and Xavier’s not loading right now but um yeah we’re we’re going to keep moving along all right the observatory also in Eden Park um this is a fun indoor activity to do during the winter which it’s has uh it’s home to the world’s oldest
Telescope still in use nightly by the general public which is very cool the observatory offers daytime tours and also regularly host public events so if you’re looking for a friends uh a unique place to go with friends and family simply interested in learning more about the science of astronomy the Cincinnati
Observatory is a great place to go so let’s check out their insta real quick they what’s going on here looks like they haven’t done oh there we go so very cool building was open in 1842 that’s amazing so it’s 180 years old so cool cool um so yeah if you’re into astronomy or
Just again want something neat and interesting and different to do um go check out the observatory another fun thing to do in the winter attend a dinner detective murder mystery show that can be fun so uh if you like food and entertainment that’s a lot of fun there’s a murder mystery uh
Theater I’ve never done this have you guys ever done this let me know in the chat maybe I should do this with my wife that could be fun uh that’d be a fun date night our our shows are generally geared toward carrying a PG-13 rating so some
Mild content loud noises and adult humor will be present children ages 15 plus with adult supervision are permitted 60 bucks a person so that could be fun um all right coffee shops check out one of the 45 plus independent coffee shops in Cincinnati uh my favorite one um let me
Know your favorite coffee shop down below but I’m going to shout out see if I can find it real quick carabell coffee in Newport Kentucky definitely one of my favorites but here you got red tree that’s in Oakley I love that one um let me give you guys a look at carabello real
Quick awesome story awesome owners to this place uh here’s Justin the owner uh but they support um some amazing Charities you guys can go read the full the full story about them but wonderful wonderful people Justin Emily carabello and um also Wonderful Coffee they they know what they’re doing and they have
Their own coffee bar down there where you can kind of go do your own experience I mean they they do for sure know what they’re doing down there so um definitely recommend hey there’s my man Angus um it’s a good friend of mine so um yeah yes definitely check out caribel
Coffee beautiful location down in Newport Kentucky um highly recommend that always fun to get a nice sip of coffee in the winter all right moving along uh paint Sip and wine I’m I’m G to go past that one a little bit quicker you can visit the cinc art museum so
This brings up a next big category I would say which is museums in general in Cincinnati is loaded with great museums including the Cincinnati Art Museum um it’s also again in that Eden Park Mount Adams area it is features over 67,000 pieces of individual art and you may not
Know this but the museum is completely free to visit and it’s open Tuesday through Sunday closed on Mondays uh because of the sheer size of the museum it’s possible to spend an entire day walking through the various exhibits so amazing winter activity and do it multiple times it’s free uh the
Cincinnati Art Museum is phenomenal so um definitely check that out fantastic um place to go in the winter so if you’ve never been in the Cincinnati Art Museum there you go explore the Cincinnati Museum Center uh again so this is on the west side of town um Union Terminal this is if you’re
Driving through Cincinnati you’ve ever seen a building that looks like an old radio that’s actually beautiful it is the Cincinnati Museum Center at at Union Terminal now this place is also great great for kids tons of fun interactive exhibits um so another wonderful wonderful place to go in the winter
Highly highly recommend so you got the art museum and you got the Museum Center then you got the Taff Museum of Art um which was okay so if you don’t know President Taft is from Cincinnati so he’s got there there’s an own art museum kind of named after him it’s one of the
Finest small art museums in the country it was originally open in 1932 uh it’s home to an impressive collection of art that includes European and American paintings Chinese porcelains and ivory sculptures it’s worth going to as well I think this one’s actually my wife’s favorite Art Museum to go to um even
More so than the Cincinnati Art Museum but check it out Fair good now the Newport Aquarium also a fantastic winter activity to do like I said Team s did a um client event at the aquarium last year and we were just talking about it since we just did our PI event today
We’re like man we should maybe do the aquarium again uh it’s a ton of fun there are a lot of interactive exhibits you can touch a shark um you can see the jellyfish um the penguins are there it’s it’s a lot of fun uh it’s it’s really
Great and you’re down at the levy and at the levy there’s a lot of great restaurants bars things to do there as well so you can make a whole day of it um it’s awesome it is really really good let me try to pull that up real quick um
But yeah I I I won’t pull it up I’m gonna keep rolling around here you guys know what aquariums look like visit entertainment entertainment junction so this is fun model trains um and this is like pretty remarkable let me see if I can find like a little video here uh okay here we
Go oh look at how excited that guy is in his kid entertainment junction great for kids yeah video is 13 years old and I love it the world’s largest indoor train display 25,000 foot layout two miles of track you could watch this really for hours it is really fun to watch
So um maybe you’re not dorky like me or nerdy like me but I think model trains are cool and fun and fascinating so um yeah that’s a fun one you can go do um here’s a little more details uh lots of exhibits great place all ages and a lot of times what they’ll
Have these um train setups downtown during the during the Christmas season as well so they’ll move the displays around if you’re downtown you can do that as well so that’s a lot of fun uh enjoy Scenic winter views of the city I love this one number 20 even though this
Picture is definitely not taken in the winter because everything is green but um but M Ekko is a pretty um good look at the city okay snowboarding skiing or tubing at Perfect North I don’t know how many things I’ve said in my top 10 but this is in my top 10 maybe I’ve
Said more than more than 10 things okay Perfect North Slopes is in Indiana um there it’s not a mountain per se but it’s the best thing we have for skiing around here and it it’s pretty decent honestly I I I have a lot of friends who will take their families
There and get a season pass there you go there’s a picture of uh Center Stage it’s a great place to learn how to ski for kids and then if you don’t want to ski at all you just want to go tubing this is great because you can hop on an
Inner tube and then they have a conveyor belt that takes you back up to the hill so you don’t even have to walk the hill so if you like sledding as a kid but you don’t like want to walk walk up a hill anymore um Perfect North is great for
That so you can do the tubing or the sliding I think I’m pretty sure you can do like both in the same day although you’d have to rent the skis obviously um but again another fun thing to do in the winter obviously um this is a great this
Is a great option if you’ve never been out there again it’s not going to be skiing like if you’ve been to the Rocky Mountains or even some of the Appalachian Mountains it’s in West Virginia or Virginia or something like that it’s not going to be to that extent
It’s a smaller SL but it’s something local and it’s it it is some schem so and some of the slopes are a little bit longer um you know again it’s not the Rocky Mountains or anything like that but it’s the best thing we have here and
It’s fun it’s a great place for kids to learn I know it’s where I and then when I was older and was able to go on a trip out west um I had my I knew how to do I knew how to ski so that’s that’s a great
Option definitely for the winner um especially if you get you know it’s going to be more busy they have the artificial snow so this will be open you know as long as we have the colder temperatures you it’ll be you can ski it all winter long after some fresh know
Obviously and if you can do it during a weekday when kids are in school that’s the best time to do it um but that’s a lot of fun the Sign Museum okay again I haven’t been to hear this is always what’s shown on Bengals games for whatever reason uh some
Producers like go to the sign of Museum and get the b-roll um I’ve never been has anyone watching this been to uh yeah Rick it is uh it is a pretty big hill um so thanks for chiming in Rick uh yeah it’s a fun ski snope has anyone
Ever done the Sign Museum um I have not done this I again I this is always on the things to do list and I’m like I don’t know it’s a bunch of neon signs I guess some of the nostalgic ones like Old McDonald so if you’re in nostalgia
I guess what you could feel here is like maybe what a lot of what I feel when I see 8 so um anyway you can go see this the Sign Museum and see a bunch of signs uh indoor activity so you can do it in the winter uh it’s a it’s America the
Largest public museum dedicated to signs in the United States so whoever said it’s boring in Cincinnati right whoever said there’s nothing to do in Cincinnati we’ve got the largest Sign Museum in the United States take that La take that New York City do you have over 20,000 I
Guess they probably have 20,000 signs Outdoors on actual buildings but we’ve acquired all the signs that nobody wants anymore and we’ve stuck them all in one building and you can go see them okay hey orch trpt proven me wrong maybe the S Museum was surprisingly fun when I
Went they have a downtown area as well it’s fun prove me wrong that’s great so it’s on the list if you want another thing to do in the winter time I’m just I’m I’m here for you guys uh to give you loads of people and we’re giving you uh
We’re giving you credibility from those who have actually been because I can’t speak to this I haven’t been so there you go um I think it’s over by I want to say it’s over by Terry’s Burgers too which so there’s a little wh That’s not
What I want let me see let me look look this up real quick American Sign Museum am I right on that hang on give me a sec turn off my keywords no I’m totally wrong this is over closer to um fair amount so really okay yeah totally wrong West Side so this is
Really over closer to the zoo and just north of the Cincinnati Museum Center a couple exits just off of I75 okay got it I was gonna say grab a burger at Terry’s which while I’m at it um man I’m hungry now you guys this place there’s there’s
A little bit of controversy here a few years ago you can look into that but in terms of uh burgers in Cincinnati I need to make that video don’t I like Top burgers in Cincinnati the the toppings they have here like what of those scallops or maybe that’s cheese you have
You have a legit crazy toppings that you can get on it different barinade sauces things like that I mean they know they know what they’re doing oh this is why I was thinking the Sign Museum I mean that’s right next door I think you guys can see why I made that mistake because
That’s right next to her to teres um is that geta that looks good there you go ah I’m so hungry right now I gotta stop okay okay all right back to the list maybe do that in Winter I want to do that tonight that looks so good that looks so good so if
You guys have never checked out the Turf Club there you go there’s a little there’s a little bonus hit um you can do that in the winter or you could do that like tonight all right moving on 23 um winner events offered by the great parks
Of Hamilton okay you can check that out uh and the Cincinnati Nature Center um guided full moon walks guided craft make that actually would be really fun guided maple tree tapping that would be awesome and much more so you can check out their online calendar uh Cincinnati
Nature Center and Hamilton Parks they do guided yoga outdoor guided tours archery lessons and other activities even during the winter months that sounds kind of awesome actually so you can check out their calendar at Great parks.org and see what they going on harvest Jamboree Outdoor Archery oh this is great my my oldest
Son’s starting to get into archery so I might actually check that out see we’re learning we’re we’re learning things together guys we’re learning things together here tonight now now I’m getting I’m trying to teach you but now I’m getting AC activities and ideas for my my own family that sounds really fun
Um visit one of Cincinnati’s many bre breweries okay so I know I said don’t drink too much but you can drink a little bit guys um and Cincinnati is great for the breweries visit one of CC’s mini here’s a helpful list that we’ve compiled uh if you’re watching
Right now and you’ve been to different Cincy breweries tell me what’s your favorite in the chat whoa I never really realized there’s this many um I will share I will go first I’ll share some of my favorite Mount carel Brewing great Brewery um doesn’t get all the hype but if you
Like a brown ale they have a nut brown ale that is fantastic I know everyone’s like the IPA hype hop but like uh hype is is all about it but um nut brown ale really really good uh dead dead low brewing there’s going to be 50 West this uh sorry that’s not it
Where’s 50 West what should be on here I don’t know why 50 West is not on there but 50 West brewering and library is awesome oh here it is it’s up here sorry that’s what am I what’s going on here planville there it is um 50 West Brewing lot of fun in the
Summer volleyball courts they’ve got Burgers there oh they do ice skating in the winter too so if you want to get uh yes if you want to get a beer this I think I just figured out my next Saturday um they have curling leagues that’s fantastic $120 per team so they
Got burger bars they got Burgers beers shakes Wings fries floats they’ve obviously got beer on site and then let me um let me get the prices here for the ice skating $10 a person so if you don’t want to go downtown to Fountain Square same price $10 ice skating
Um free for kids forign youngers and parking is going to be a little bit easier you’re not going to have the cool downtown buildings around you but you will have amazing beer burgers and milkshakes so hours of operation Monday through Thursday 1200 through 7 Friday through Saturday 12:00 P.M to
10:30 oh my kids would love this I think we might go do this so awesome 50 West um okay back to the breweries just I’m going to hit a few of my other favorites real quick if you’ve never been then you definitely need to go to Rin
Gist um and if what’s nice about Rin gist and where the location downtown Cincy is uh you can hop on the street car from anywhere and it’ll deliver you right to Ryan right right to Ry gist um wonder if there’s a is this the wrong did I click on the
Wrong one I clicked on Northern row there it is okay so there’s Ryan guys big gigantic Hall they were kind of the first like big Cincy brewery player I would say um and trying to see there they’ve got an awesome space and so I I used to actually take my kids
Here in the winter they’ve got like space for cornhole and there’s room to move around um so definitely recommend that um where else uh matre up in Oakley is great um tell me your guys’ favorite North Side Urban artifact uh also in Covington um braaton is pretty great as
Well so those are a few of my favorite oh also if you want to get like a weener schnitzel and um some German food Hof bro house in Newport is a great experience check that one out as well so lots of great breweries in town um highly recommend it okay moving on
I’m just going to talk about Bureau night visit Santa there’s a number of places you guys can do that Cabella’s Bass Pro Shop entertainment junction which we mentioned before Cincinnati Museum Center um you know again this is 2019 blog so um maybe updated a little
Bit on your end but um you can visit Santa every any our malls still a thing um I know Florence mall has always had I guess I’m sure malls have Santa as well all right check out one of Cincinnati’s art galleries we’ve kind of talked about that with the museums um another free
Art gallery by the way is um the 21c Hotel which is downtown so that’s a great place to go film at the omax theater so this is at Union Terminal so if you’re doing the museum the Omnimax now it’s not the Las Vegas sphere but it’s you know a giant half half sphere
Uh and it’s really cool to watch the Dome screen uh surround sound showing science and nature films um that’s always a lot of fun so that that inside of that very cool architecture which I was telling you they is basically a giant movie theater so you’re kind of
Laidback and you’re seeing all around you right now they’re showing Jane Goodall Rocky Mountain Express they always have cool cool videos here cool movies so that is another cool um great winter opportunity to go catch a concert at Bogarts Bogarts is up by uc’s campus has been around forever it’s kind of
Just a great um gross I don’t know College like band scene that there’s just no thrills about it um good place to catch a show there’s going to be other places to catch um shows as well like South Gate house uh in Newport and so there’s there’s a number of places um
Watch a play Play House in the park if you’re a little higher brow um that’s my parents had uh tickets to play house in the park for Years also in Mount Adams is again this is right by the art museum um Chrome Conservatory all that we mentioned before awesome go you can go
Roller skating you could go bowling you could go axe throwing axe throwing is the thing have you got throw axes I did see a video the other day where someone threw an axe at like a med exercise ball and it bounced back and almost killed him I’m like why would you do
That so if you’ve never done that and you want to get some aggression out and have some fun um you know just you know if you don’t like bowling or roller skating um or the escape room another fun indoor activity kind of competitive anyone can kind of do it so there’s another thing
Um axes paint some pottery and go indoor plant shopping so similar to the to the Crone Conservatory get some plants in your house get get you know bring some light so it’s not just gray and dark and cold and you’re sad plants can can be a great idea to get some
Um some joy and something alive into your home until you’re waiting till spring all right so there’s the list guys what did I miss what’s your favorite thing on the list are you going to do any of these things um let me know I hope that gives you some some ideas
Here as we’re heading into winter uh as we have less Bengals to enjoy now um something to do I I’m going to do a number of these things now definitely going to 50 West for the ice skating and the beer that sounds like a lot of fun
And I’m gonna go to the conservatory again Cyclones game sounds fun um definitely the light shows you got to do it so I hope that helps um give you some fun things fun things to do here in the winter in the colder months um I’m going to check out guys
I hope you enjoyed this video if you did like it give it a like subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already uh share it with a friend hit that notification Bell and hope you have a wonderful wonderful Thanksgiving hope you’re getting together with family and can just enjoy time
Together can enjoy um and just be grateful I know not I don’t know not all families do this but if you can’t if if it’s not a tradition of yours um lead the way and as your guys guys are sitting around and about to eat um or
Are eating maybe that’s even a better time after you’ve eaten um go around the table say what you’re thankful for whether it’s been a hard year uh or a great year whether you are um we were actually in my church service this morning we were we were uh we had a lot
Of things to be thankful for we had some some medical scares with some of the people in our church some some children actually um that that are all doing okay and we had some some mourning some grieving um had some deaths um you know in and around our community and
Relationships and um I was reading out of Ecclesiastes there’s a time for everything there’s a time for there’s a time for weeping and there’s a time for rejoicing and love Thanksgiving because it is a time no matter how hard your year has been no matter what you might
Be grieving or Mourning um or or the difficulties you’re facing there are still things to be thankful for so as you’re eating turkey hopefully and stuffing and mashed potatoes and pie um take some time to say the things you’re thankful for uh I’m thankful for so much thankful for my family and
Friends my community uh the work that I get to do um just the list can go on and on the people I get to work with and helping people find homes that’s always fun too so that’s our tagline here if you guys don’t know it if you’re new
Here it’s find your home and strengthen your family and if you guys see uh the logo that I’m like nailing you with on my shirt the hat and like up in the screen where is it over here I’m blocked I don’t know it’s up in the corner I can’t do it on reverse
There that way um so the our logo is a is a bridge it’s the robling bridge and um and underneath it it’s mod it’s still a bridge but it’s modified to be a dining room table because what I believe in is that um I believe that you know
Families I believe that a strong city is built of strong families I believe that every family is broken uh we all have things that are um that we’ve been hurt and how we’ve hurt others we’re all broken but we’re also all strong and there’s strength in in every single
Family and so the the logo that I put on our um for team s and what I get to do in real estate which is a lot of fun is helping people find their home helping families find their home um and whatever your family looks like and so the top of
The the top of the logo is the bridge where we’re trying to be a guide for you and bridging you to wherever you’re trying to find um a new home or um you know that perfect place that’s that’s right for you whether you’re moving to Cincinnati or you already live here you
Know that bridge that idea is us doing doing our job and servicing you and hoping you helping you um get get to the home the the and then I want you to be around your dining room table and so I think that the dining room table is the
Heart of the home um and I think the dining room table when I when I thought about this logo for a long time I wanted a symbol for strong families and I think that means meals around a table I think the more meals we can have around a
Table the better so it’s subtle in there but uh there you go there you go there you guys got the backstory of of the logo so anyway Happy Thanksgiving uh hope you have a wonderful time with family or friends or wherever you’re at thank you guys so much for watching this
For being a part of this Channel and uh if if you could use our services Reach Out we’d love to help you find your home here in the Cincinnati or Northern Kentucky area um so that’s it happy holidays guys and um Happy Thanksgiving we’ll talk to you later
