January is known for its new beginnings. Roller skating offers engaging experiences for families to spend time together and create memories that last a lifetime. Roller skating provides an opportunity to foster an active and healthy lifestyle. At Sky Vue Skateland, January gives skating sessions tailor-made for families seeking quality time intertwined with fun, physical pursuits.
January 6 Learn to Skate Classes
We can teach you how to roller skate. Our learn to skate class is a 4-week program that starts each Saturday at 12:45 pm. You’ll lace up your skates and get ready for the instruction to begin at 1 pm.
Mrs. Denise will give instructions for basic skating skills each week. Students are encouraged to skate the following 1:30-3:30 session to practice their new skills. Our class fee of $85.00 includes a lesson, skate rental, skate mate if needed, and admission to the skating session. If January doesn’t fit your schedule, we’ll start a new class on February 3.
Sunday Skate Sessions begin January 7
We expand our schedule to include Sunday afternoons from January through March. We know with cold weather, families are looking for indoor activities that allow them to be active. Now on Sundays, doors open at 1:25 for our 2-hour session that concludes at 3:30 pm. Admission is $9, and skate rental is $4.
Small groups are welcome to schedule a group event during this session. Groups of 10 or more can make a reservation to receive a $1 admission discount. Call Mrs. Denise at 252-442-7418.
Private rental time is available on Sundays
Sunday afternoons, 4:00-6:00 pm, are now available for private rentals. We can schedule a birthday party or group rental on Sunday afternoons from January through March. Call Mrs. Denise at 252-442-7418 for more information.
Adult Skate Night
January 11, 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Our monthly adult skate session is on the second Thursday night of the month. Invite your friends to meet you at this special skating session for ages 18+.
Join the fun on Thursday evening, January 11, 6:30-8:30 pm. Admission is $10, skate rental $4.
January 15th MLK Holiday Skate
School’s out, so we’re skating! Bring the family for an afternoon of skating fun. Admission is $10, skate rental $4. Games and activities for all ages.
Three hours of non-stop fun is scheduled for 1:00-4:00 pm.

STEM Field Trips
The second semester is in full swing for the 2023/2024 school year. We have available dates to schedule STEM field trips for schools.
