Do you want to bring us to your skate community? Here’s how…

“I would love to attend a Roller Girl Gang session, but you’re so far away!”

“This sounds exactly like what I need to feel confident about my roller skating, I just can’t get there.”

“I found your sessions online, then realised I live about 100 miles away :0 “

We get lots of messages from folks who tell us they would love to attend our sessions, but we are sadly too far away.

We have also seen lots of communities spring up over the last couple of years who share the same values as we do. We know how hard it is to provide consistent roller skating! We are genuinely impressed at everything you are doing and really want you to keep going and growing. As you can see from above, one of the barriers is distance – so let’s come to you!

In 2024, we want to celebrate the micro communities within the roller skate community. We know that accessing quality coaching can be really tricky (we were you 8 years ago) and would love to help you grow.

Mel has cleared some time on Saturday afternoons, specifically to teach workshops outside Leeds.

What shall we teach?

We suggest workshops are 1.5 hours – but we will work with the time you have available. The content of the workshop will be up to you – we will have a chat in advance of your date to make sure we are supporting you as best as possible.

Head coach Mel is an experienced roller skater, teacher and coach. With the support of other members of the RGG coaching team, we can deliver a workshop tailored to the needs of your community.

We specialise in: Adult learning – from the absolute beginning to advanced levels.

Specific skills: stopping, transitions, skating backwards, roller dance, slalom, speed skating and crossovers and a whole lot more!

BTW, we would also love to grab a snack after the workshop with you all!

Sound good?

How much will it cost?

One 1.5 hour workshop £300 (£15 each split based on 20 people, but cheaper if there are more people)

Two 1.5 workshops £550 (£13.75 each split based on 20 people in each session)

We will need to add a cost for travelling to you too – this will depend where you are based.

The above are example costs – we will book a quick call with you 15 – 20 minutes – so we can agree on some costs.

Best value is booking two sessions back to back – we suggest two different workshops will support skaters at different experience levels within your community.

The Nitty Gritty

  • We have our own public liability insurance, so please let us have the contact details of your venue and we can send these details through.

  • You know your area and the spaces to skate – you are in charge of securing a suitable time slot at the venue. If you require us to book the venue on your behalf, we can assist with this.

  • We are first aid trained.

  • We are qualified and experienced coaches.

  • We will help you advertise the session on our social media and website. We will require your session to be sold to a level we agree at least one week in advance of the workshop.

How to book?

Drop us an email over to skate@rollergirlgang.co.uk with Saturday Workshop as the subject line.

Tell us:

  • Where you are located

  • Which Saturday or month you prefer and a back up date

  • The name of the venue you plan to use

  • Your name and the best time to call / set up a zoom to chat about your workshop requirements.
