Hello everybody welcome back today we have an unfortunate event that we have to take care of Carmen hurt her foot last night at tumbling and it is still hurting her she cannot walk on it she woke up this morning and it’s all swollen and incredibly painful for her
So I’m going to take her into the doctor to have it x-ray to make sure it’s not broken or anything crazy like that I’m wondering if she just sprained it really bad I don’t know but something is going on with it so we’re going to take her to
The doctor and get that checked out first thing this morning She’s been hopping around like this all morning long she can’t put any pressure on it I might have to just carrier everywhere are you going to put put your shoe on no you don’t think so I might have to just carry you let’s go you get it oh yes did it
What about on your sore foot can you get one on there or no no oh dang let’s put a sock on that one yeah I’ll go get one I can get it for you just stay here so hold on sit down for just a second we’ll show everybody where your
Foot is hurting so right here just below her ankle bone right here this whole area is swollen It’s probably hard to see on the camera but it’s swollen and it’s super sore and tender she cries every time I touch it so something’s going on in there hopefully the doctor will have

You do different views this is the straight on view looking at your foot straight on okay so the doctor did not see any breaks on the x-rays but he’s going to have the radiologist read it just to be sure because there are a few things that
Are a little bit questionable and on her x-ray want to make sure it’s not broken he’s thinking it’s just a really really bad Sprain and so they’re going to immobilize it put her on crutches for 2 weeks no tumbling at all until it’s completely painfree she’s got a pretty
Nasty sprain he thinks and so as long as the radiologist does not say there is a hairline fracture in there we’re going to treat it as a sprain and hopefully within 2 weeks she’s feeling much better and can be wait on it again Carman just
Asked me if I have a screwdriver in my purse because this loose screw under here on this handle’s driving her nuts she really wants to fix it just like you want to keep get taking hair off my pants put my foot on there we’re just
Waiting for the doctor to come in to put your cast on huh it’s not really a a splint not really a cast just a splint to make it so she can’t move it anymore but if the radiologist has that yeah we’re going to wait from the radiologist
To call us back okay so we’re going to put your foot just right there and then we’re going to put it back about 90° sh so this is like a half cast that kind of allows swelling and this is just going to keep your foot just in one spot so you can’t
Move it you got your toenails are multicolored spring you ready for spring we’ll put this on so you can still see your cute toes how’s that all right we finally found some crutches that are small enough for her we’re renting them from one of the phes
Here close by she’s doing pretty good on them for your first time I just need to H yeah we need to lift them up just a little Bit okay be careful on the curb oh oh are you okay dang it we are just getting home from the doctor’s appointments running around trying to find a pair of crutches that were going to be small enough to fit Carmen it took us a little while to find one um but we
Finally did and she’s getting really good at walking with these things she’s doing great I can go pretty fast you can go pretty fast now yeah don’t go too fast don’t want to slip and fall you’re doing awesome I like the wheelchair better because it doesn’t hurt my armpits well I know all
Those crutches are going to make your armpits sore for a few days dang it we just heard back from the doctor as well and it is not broken they confirmed that it is just very very badly sprained he said I wish I could tell you that it was
Broken because it would be a lot less painful for her if it was broken because we could put her in a cast immobilize it and it would be a lot less painful but given that it’s sprained really bad it’s going to be painful so he said just keep
Up on the ibuprofen Tylenol and make sure she does not bear any weight on it for a few weeks and absolutely no tumbling for at least 2 weeks or until it’s completely painfree huh yeah dang it your first day back to tumbling and nope I can’t go go anymore we have an
Accident darn it that’s all right so she’s just chilling here on the couch eating some popcorn watching Smurfs just living the life Carmen is getting the Royal Treatment around here Claire just made her an icy with what on top did you get the snow cap or did you do the um
Sweeten canut milk sweet and condensed milk oh sweet and condensed milk that’s the best way to go we don’t have snow cap oh yeah we’re out of whatever you call that stuff whipping cream right there it is how’s your foot feeling bad bad how come she took the little splint
Off for a little bit giving it a break see that’s the one nice thing about having this splint is you can take it on and off it’s not on there 24 hours a day like a regular cast would be so that is a good thing K it’s a positive yeah
Today has been kind of a long rough day for Carmen and I we spent the majority of our day at the doctor’s office getting X-rays and making sure her foot was going to be okay and then we had to chase down some crutches that took a long time and it’s just been really
Crazy uh I did hear that you got a great deal on crutches though I did we could not find any crutches to buy but I went to this Pharmacy that I go go to every now and again it’s super old really retro and K was like Mom I have
Seen mini crutches there before so then we checked it out and sure enough they had mini crutches not to buy but to rent for 50 cents a week 50 cents a week 50 cents a week to rent these cres they are making bank on their crutch rentals I was so grateful to find
Someone that had little crutches that were going to fit her cuz otherwise I was packing her around for the next two weeks that’s funny they’re doing 50 cents a week though I get to kick out of that should have got two pair yeah at least helped them out a
