A Los Angeles Derby dolls vout consists of four quarters each lasting 15 minutes these quarters are divided into 60c rounds called jams each team has five players on the track in each Jam four players called blockers and one point scoring player called the Jammer you can always distinguish the Jammers from the
Other players on the track by their starred helmets it’s the Jammer’s job to try to score points and the blocker’s job to try to stop them the first whistle will sound to start the jam and the blockers launch onto the track the blockers form a tight grouping
Called the pack the Jammers race their way around the track and catch up to the pack the Jammers must then fight their way through the pack the blockers from the opposing team will try to stop them while the blockers on their team try to assist them the Jammers have now broken
Out of the pack and must race their way around the track and meet up with the pack again keep an eye on the Jammer in front she is your lead Jammer and can call off the Jammer by placing her hands on her hips the pink Jammer is now in
Position to score she receives one point for each member of the opposing team she passes as the pink Jammer racks up points the yellow Jammer catches the pack and is now also in position to score the yellow Jammer will also receive one point for each member of the
Pink team she passes the jam ends when 60 seconds have elapsed or when the lead Jammer calls off the jam by placing her hands on her hips players are not permitted to purposely trip or tackle their opponents players can block each other using their bodies and shoulders
But cannot use their elbows forearms or hands players violating the rules will be placed in The Penalty Box located on the infield forcing their team to skate the next jam with one less skater the game ends after four quarters the team with the most points at the end of the bout is your

The lead and we just had a lead Jammer change there and that was the baby V of fight crew worked out to two points for fight crew zero for the brawler wow a lot of uh a lot of things going on right there yeah fight crew strikes first um
When these teams met in the season fight crew beat VB 180 to 159 couple months ago for their only win and vb’s only loss okay we already have some people in The Penalty Box I believe we got s fox in there for the oblivian Westwood is in
There for the varsity Brawlers and uh and then looks like we got a s fox in there for f crew and she’s just jamming for the Brawlers out of the pack but uh ah ah could heal the skates of senorita coming up behind and saying N I think I’ll call it
Off yeah one thing about roller skaters they’re not real sneaky well it depends I know some stealthy people out there they they may be stealthy but uh skate wheels on Masonite makes a heck of a racket well and these these sparkles on sorito shorts are so fantastic uh by the

For the Brawlers with a directional block so when you got a Blocker in there that means that the pack is down one skater and thinned out a little bit Nightmare and jamming for fight crew Bren is subbing for fight crew believe this is her second game maybe third
Adult game skating as which one of the regular teams caught up in that front wall of Varsity roals defense they are forced to call it off three points three points for fight crew yeah called off right before alpaca punch got into a point scoring position got eyes on the back of the head
Situation going on nobody in the Penalty Box well that’s refreshing it is it is it’s nice to have everybody on the track for the holidays and the holidays being playoffs cuz playoffs Rule and look I even got the day off I might that’s incredible of course I’m working here so

Wash three points for f crew two for the Brawlers 3129 fight crew yeah this is an incredibly incredibly um close bout well and the thing is is that these teams are ranked one and four coming into the playoffs vary Brawlers one fight crew four but there’s only three games each team only
Plays three games in the season so that’s true it doesn’t mean that much to say oh this is the last place team this is the first place team and as a matter of fact B crew beat VB the last time they played oh there you go so I’m not
Surprised at this competitive score and at all of this exciting skating that we’re getting well you know and the and the fight crew Dynasty Dynasty don’t you feel like they have a bit of a dynasty fight crew do they I think it’s because of of how dominant they were in the the
Early years I cuz I got to tell you we didn’t we didn’t do while I was in it so and I ESC for the team for years I just think of that because of the early the first winning the first Champs all right we getting uh looks
Like we got a new marker flying in for the white board which is very welcome yeah we’re I’m dealing with some hearing problems with and you’re dealing with some eye problems but together we’re a whole person that’s why we make such a great team that’s right that’s true oh huge
Hit from Sly Fox took Envy down but got right back up yeah Envy bams oh just like really incredible skater in such a fantastic attitude always looks like she’s having so much fun baby V throws a huge fake onto Captain uh breaker fou gets out of
The pack but M Bens piling up the points and calling it off yeah I like that little dance that shaki was doing there you’re going to go this way no you can go this way you go this way it’s like hurting cats nobody in the
Box we can all just spend the next 60 seconds meditating or we can watch this Jam F crew jumps out and takes [Applause] lead and oh my goodness Rose is just wrecking shop in this pack yeah that is a tight pack right there with a lot of work for the for newsy
Trying to get out of there L he finally makes it out but not before monol lethal the full pole five [Applause] HS you can tell I’m feeling myself if I like start calling the number of points before I see the enforcers call it and then I look nervously at the scoreboard
To see if I was right oh my I’m sorry I was just having problem lot of fer in that box once again yeah we got a we got a couple of them with a back blocking and a directional block that’s wosen there and and fox and uh uh newsy going into the box
For yep yep news going in the pen box for Brawlers that’s going to make this a Power Jam Advantage for fight crew uh two-point game fight crew with two so uh here comes the uh potential change for that M holding on to just a two-point lead we’ve seen so many lead changes in
This game already so you know they’re going to want to pad that number a little bit Yeah so right now V don’t really getting stuck behind man the she’s Force the she’s hell’s kitten this is such a tall order because uh Brawlers have three blockers out there fers only
Got two and those Brawlers for uh those blockers for Brawlers don’t have anything to do except make V’s life suck yeah and they’re doing a really really good job of that I mean look at look at joerger just like holding The High Line like that you know that was the thing about

Crew around because we’ve had a different team every single game this season and um last game when we did be VB which was pretty shocking to everyone it was half Subs half fight crew and we just really went in with we got nothing to prove let’s just have fun leave it
All out there if we walk away feeling like we did our our best then that’s a win no matter what the score and it just worked out in our favor and that’s the same mindset we have today we we don’t care if we win we just want to have fun
Uh you’ve got some some new teammates new drafts we’ve got Mona lethal VA blockum and who am I missing oh oh no glitter bomb glitter bomb glitter bomb okay how was it incorporating these new teammates with not many practices under their belt as well as new sub as well

Think one of the uh most frequent penalties we’ve seen so far today is failure to reform which is a little unusual so hopefully the teams will start listening to the pack refs and when there’s a split pack called they will reform the pack more quickly can we talk about some pack definition for
Those who at home who don’t know what pack definition is what is the pack how much can you engage in um we’re seeing a lot of long packs too yeah definitely so the pack is defined as the greatest number of upright inbound skaters containing uh members of both teams so
If there is four people in front and three people in the back if that group in front has representatives of both teams then they are the pack uh and if there’s no pack which means that there is no group of people that meets that definition then there is a split pack uh
And then the skaters have two seconds to reform the pack otherwise they get called for a penalty and uh they have within well there if there’s five feet uh between groups then they are out of proximity of each other and that’s how we determine where the pack is right

This a Power Jam all right so we got a power Jam that means there’s only one Jammer on the floor one team that can score and that is Varsity Brawlers and that’s Envy bams wow the is is the pack moving I can’t tell there is that there is that
Wall of V crew very much like TSA and you’re going to to take off your shoes if you want through here we got your liquids nope oh beautiful finally I it looked like breaker was holding enough of the line yeah breaker was holding about two inches and uh bat just grabbed
Their hips and snuck around the back outstanding assist and once again Brawlers keeping this pack glacial gives uh gives their Jammer a ton of uh time to score a ton of points I I think I’d like their most Lusty less’ butt block against mb’s head oh Beau a hit that was
Lovely wo taking bams all the way up and once again pul friction locks Wes up which lets that Jammer go get knocked out by Lusty I guess is it just me but when you see that four wall when they’re kind of doing the lateral blocking does
It remind you a little bit of Human Centipede I mean not a lot but lot maybe a little just some human centi you think everything is like human centipede I did I did not want I did the reaction to that uh by the way nine points there for

In this uh single elimination playoffs it goes Brawlers cookies scream Queen and fight crew but I’ll tell you the Brawlers and the cookies are both two and one the scream queens and fight crew are both one and two so the rankings came down to uh overall win losses followed by head-to-head win losses
Between teams and then finally the total points earned and that’s a key stat EV Le because sometimes you wonder why are they running up the score they already won they already won decisively but those that match point differential is a critical tiebreaker and so it was important All Season to score as many
Points as possible oh my goodness but not score as many penalties we have penalties against Jagger we got Health kitten uh with the directional blocks and then for fight crew we got Sly and we’ve got micro with directional blocks and then um Lusty with above shoulders
We have a muscade situation we have two Jammers two blockers and we got Fox coming in oh well that was difficult yeah New York skate of mind just lost launched C blocker bucket into Fox I just got throw a bucket at Fox bucket shuck the bucket
That’s a bucket shuck is what we call that one I always I used to go down the watas all the time when I was like 18 19 they always have these um buckets that pour neas for like two bucks and be like a bucket I’m G get a bucket okay bucket
Though got a failure to reform there um and I believe another one of the other blockers is serving some time the fight cre one oh yeah we we didn’t find out about that or maybe she just needed somewhere to sit yeah oh no that’s Lusty serving for muscate from previous it’s
Lusty G Ward versus Mon Lethal monol lethal first time skating with a fight crew officially drafted Oh man went for another Apex junk but I think the whistle was called before it could be any points I believe so that was a really key block by Vita
Vita just got a tiny piece of that Jammer but it was enough to disrupt that scoring pass and force the call off that was incredible I I think we’re going to be seeing a lot of uh commitment from mono lethal a lot lot of Apex jumps once you get that first one
You get the taste for yeah and you’re like ah this is fun you can fly yeah literally flying with fik crew Ren out oh skated against a jagger bomb Ren’s acceleration is so gorgeous I love it yeah Bren oh very powerful skater wow and just manages to get that call
Off before her feet hit the infield you can call it off on your knees you can call off on your back as long as you’re on the track as soon as you hit the infield you’re out of play and you have to re-enter the pack on your feet before
You can call off yeah that’s uh that takes that’s one of those things you see with the more the the skaters as they’re getting more seasoned is it’s like really like lightning quick decisions and uh well yeah they’re not old like us you believe and then it kind of goes away
Was like Sita up wow Sita put puts her whole body into it yeah the arms working got the legs working down so low approaching the pack he kitten though how did s wiggle through that wow calls off right before kitten comes against glitter bomb glitter bomb brand new ASU officially

The Brawlers outscoring um fight crew 62- 21 e they got as many points in that third as they got in the whole first half wow that’s wild right now we got pulp friction jamming for Varsity Brawlers and that is chop slicks I believe that’s the first time they’re jamming for fight crew
Today four points four points for the Brawlers and you youil the keys to the game have been one The Varsity Brawlers incredible defense you can tell how much work they’ve put in to uh everybody knowing exactly what to do in what situation and they’re just killing it
