Welcome back from the skating rinks to the slopes. There’s a lot to celebrate in Western New York this time of year. And thanks to a change in the weather, it’s finally starting to feel like winter to win your sides. And Baron was at canal side tonight.
He tells us about the seasonal activities happening around town the first day. It’s interesting. I was here the last day of the season last year and now I’m here the first day. So it’s interesting, but it’s the first day that’s Paula J continuing her family’s tradition at Kissing Bridges Ski Resort opening day.
Being out in nature, it’s very refreshing. And even though it’s challenging, believe it or not, it is peaceful to come out here and it’s beautiful to look at the snow and the snow on the trees, but it’s cold outside. So she had to keep her
Warm by the fire pit and the snow she sees isn’t much to look at. They’ve done the best they could with what they have. And at least they got open today to be fair. Temperatures haven’t been low enough for the resort to make lasting snow.
Opening day was supposed to be in mid December but got pushed back until now. And Mike Bohart W Kissing Bridge says the snow on the slopes was just made recently. We left it in piles and so we can kind of conserve on the melt. We have piles of snow from
Our south area all the way to the north two trails open today. Harley and the beginner trail, we get like maybe a couple more nights of snow making temps. I think we’re going to be open almost fully open within a week or two.
Meanwhile, here in Buffalo, the ice at canal side reopened for the second time. They temporarily closed because of the warm weather also. So it’s just fun to be here. Bear on the people fun activity to do, stay active in the winter and everyone is enjoying it, especially for Katie and Joe
