Information on wheel irregularities:

This was written by Alexander Bont with regards to their top permonance wheel the Royal Assassin by Scott Corey but it applies to add wheels so I thought it might be valuable to add to our blog of information:

Here are a few natural occurrences you might expect:

  1. Air Bubbles Our high-performance urethane may contain tiny air bubbles, a natural part of the manufacturing process. These are harmless and won’t affect performance. We have specific criteria to ensure these bubbles are minimal:

  2. Skate surface: Up to 3 bubbles, each 3mm or smaller, not grouped together.

  3. Wheel Face and Lip: Up to 2 bubbles, each 2mm or smaller, not grouped together.

  4. Back of the wheel: Up to 2 bubbles, each 4mm or smaller, not grouped together.

  5. Streaks The face of the wheel may exhibit subtle streaks, adding a unique visual touch.

  6. Slight Hub Scratches Before pouring the urethane, the hub is prepared through sandblasting and priming. A clamp during this process can sometimes leave a tiny imperfection on the hub.

  7. Grooves We hand-buff the grooves in each wheel, ensuring a faster break-in period. This personal touch means each wheel will be slightly different, showcasing the artistry of the final buff.

These natural variations are not defects; they are a testament to the handcrafted nature of your Bont Royal Assassin wheels. We believe they add to the charm and individuality of each wheel, making them truly one-of-a-kind.

The natural-colored urethane may yellow when exposed to sunlight. To maintain its original look, avoid direct sun exposure. The wheel’s lip may appear slightly more yellow than the rest due to the manufacturing process—this is normal.

These high-performance wheels are not designed for drag-to-stop use. Flat spotting from excessive dragging or hub damage from incorrect bearing installation is not covered under warranty. Flat spotting is a characteristic of urethane under excessive friction and can occur on all roller skate wheels.
