I can do this! This young woman is on a roll. She traveled the U.S. coast to coast all by herself on skates. The 23 year old kicked off her adventure in Florida using a camera attached to a makeshift selfie stick to chronicle her seven month long journey. She battled severe heat.
I’m getting a little sluggish. She braved heavy rains. And pushed through fierce winds. Its blowing me towards the traffic. I’m not heavy enough. Nothing could stop Yanise Ho as she skated, while lugging a 40 pound backpack. It’s day 32. I’ve decided I’m gonna feel great no matter what the road condition will be. And get this, she traveled without bringing any money.
She wanted to prove the world is still filled with good people, so she relied on the kindness of strangers to open up their homes, to give her a place to sleep and eat. Every day I was hosted. I was fed. I made so many great friends and families.
She’s now completed her 3,850 mile journey proving that kindness does indeed still exist.
