Summer is over and school is back in session! This means it’s time to find something that your family can do during the weekday evenings to break up the monotony of the school year. We could be biased, but we think roller skating is the best idea!
Though there are several benefits of taking your kids skating on a weeknight, here is 3 of our favorites:
Bye-Bye Boredom!
When kids go straight home after the school day is over, they typically go straight to the television or their video games before diving into homework. However when they have something to look forward to like skating in the evening, they will be more excited to dive into their homework right away so they can skate!
Find Your Focus!
When kids do some sort of activity in the evening, it can help them sleep better at night. The better they sleep, the better they focus in school the next day!
Make More Friends!
Taking your children somewhere outside of school on a regular basis gives them a chance to make new friends! School can be a difficult place for some kids, however the skating rink can give them a place to make some of their best friends.
To break up your week and celebrate the middle of the week, we offer Wacky Wednesday from 6pm-8pm! It’s an open skate for all ages. It’s $5 for admission plus a $3.50 skate rental fee or our Fun & Games Special is $11.50.
To celebrate the end of the week, we offer open skate for all ages every Friday from 6pm-9pm! It’s $9 for admission plus a $3.50 skate rental fee or our Fun & Games Special is $15.50.
We may have you wondering what our Fun & Games Special is, it’s our best value at Rollerland! It includes skating, playground, 2 runs of our lazer maze, 12 arcade tokens, and skate rental is free if needed. Our playground is only for children 10 years of age and younger so 2 additional runs of our lazer maze will be substituted for the playground if you or your older children would like to take advantage of our special!
